From Multai, where the river is born, our volunteers clean ghats, plant trees and serve people in need — one weekend at a time.
It all begins in Multai — where the Tapti is born.
Legend says Maa Tapti is the daughter of Surya, the sun god. From Multai she flows about 724 km through Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat, giving life to millions.
Puja waste, plastic bags and bottles slowly filled the sacred ghats. The river was the same, but fewer people were looking after it.
In 2024, young people from Multapi held their first cleaning drive at Barahling Ghat. Since then, ghat cleaning, Janmotsav plantation and seva have continued every year.
The next chapter is yours to write. Plant a sapling, give an hour, or make a small donation.
Be part of the story →Tapti Samagra Social Welfare Foundation was started by concerned citizens, young people and social workers of the Multapi region. We believe nature and education are the two pillars of life — a clean environment gives us a healthy life, and good education gives us direction.
Regular drives and a plastic-free ghat campaign at Barahling, Khedi Sanwligarh, Sandia and Aawli ghats.
Village-by-village planting every Tapti Janmotsav, and a green belt along the riverbanks to stop soil erosion.
Blood donation, blanket distribution in winter, and regular food distribution for people in need.
Protecting the ghats and temples along the Tapti, and awareness drives at melas and festivals.
We are a volunteer-run foundation. Your gift pays for saplings and tree guards, gloves and sacks for ghat cleaning, and food and blankets for people in need.
